This is for sure, I will never understand why government is still entertaining the idea of reservation. Scenario's have changed, people dont need reservation system, they want it. And the difference between need and want is what government needs to understand.
Implementing Reservation system was fair, back in time but now it is all in vain. Infact it has started to stirr the pot, which will definitely not be in favor of India's development. Back to back vying of groups for reservation has started to become cliché. Jat arasxan, Patel reservation and maratha reservation. The list keeps growing. If not stooped, then soon remaining groups wil join the agitation for their own quota. Due to this people are still discriminating eachother. And only because of reservation system, people still remember castism.
Reservation was meant to help backward groups but now it has started showing its adverse effects. Spurring reservation system is like getting ready for the impending doom. Government should reconsider the rights given to people on the basis of thier caste, instead of this the idea of reservation on the basis of economic grounds should be entertained.
So, instead of swashbuckling over quota, peole should try emulation. It does wonders to their discerning capabilities. Getting assertive over reservation has becomes the new exhortion for Indians.
What astounds me more is the fact that people are looking forward towards special benefits, instead of eradicating it from its core. I mean if people under reservation voluntarily quit using quota benefit then it will become easy to curb reservation. But the reality is far from imagination. People are ready to get bloodied just for reservation. This is also the main reason why we are still a developing country. Due to this system, we opt a person for a job, who is less capable of doing it. That too only because of his caste.
For the closure i would like to quote Jawaharlal Nehru "The only real way to help a backward group is by giving them enlarged possibilities of good education." By giving them education, we are giving them an opportunity to shine in this world just like any other person.
If we deeply analyse the current situation then reservation free India seems to be a utopia.
